Loneliness

A short film by Ricardo Íscar about the loneliness of a man on one of the islets that make up the Paraná Delta, near Buenos Aires.
Rojas is a forced hermit, tending trees owned by a pulp mill, on one of the islets in the Argentine Paraná Delta. Without resources, lame, old, and alone, he has little to do except listen to the radio and watch the few boats that cross the river. His only company are chickens and a dog, a sort of Friday from this forgotten Robinson Crusoe, with the face of Ezra Pound. Surrounded by lush nature, the loneliness is hardly bearable. In the Delta, some have transformed the landscape; others have embraced nature and have been almost swallowed up by it.
